Our greatest thrill hasn't been to see ourselves
in The New York Times wedding pages, but to see The
Times celebrate other same-sex couples after us.
If prejudice stems from a lack of exposure, now millions
of people are reading about lesbian and gay couples with
familiar hopes, dreams, challenges and stories of falling
in love. Tremendous credit goes to the LGBT leaders
and organizations who worked so hard over the years to
persuade newspapers to change their wedding announcement
policies.
